SYSTEMA has been selected to update Montenegro’s Transport Development Strategy 2019-2035 as part of the Western Balkans Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (TTFP) Phase 2.
This comprehensive 12-month assignment involves:
- Updating the national transport strategy to align with EU Smart and Sustainable Mobility policies
- Developing Implementation Plan and Action Plan for 2026-2027
- Creating a National Strategic ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) Framework and Architecture
- Conducting a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)
- Covering all transport modes: road, rail, maritime, air, and urban transport.
The project focuses on enhancing Montenegro’s transport efficiency, sustainability, and regional integration while ensuring full alignment with EU transport policies and climate resilience measures. Our multidisciplinary team will work closely with Montenegro’s Ministry of Transport and other stakeholders to deliver a strategy that positions Montenegro as a regional leader in sustainable mobility.
This contract reinforces SYSTEMA’s expertise in developing comprehensive transport strategies and our commitment to supporting EU integration processes in the Western Balkans region.
