Systema Consulting has commenced offering services to the European Investment Bank (EIB) on an innovative project called EPIC – the Facility for Eastern Partnership Investment in Connectivity. EPIC marks a significant step forward in enhancing transport infrastructure across Eastern Partnership countries, encompassing Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

EPIC, an acronym for Facility for Eastern Partnership Investment in Connectivity, represents a Technical Assistance Framework Agreement tailored for Transport Infrastructure Project Preparation. This initiative is financed by the EU Neighborhood Investment Platform (NIP), aimed at leveraging additional funding for capital-intensive infrastructure projects within EU partner countries covered by the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP).

Under this framework, the “EGIS-Systema-COWI-Kocks” Consortium partners have been selected by the EIB to provide consultancy services for transport infrastructure project preparation. As the contracting authority, the EIB collaborates with JASPERS, the implementing and coordinating agency, responsible for project identification and review. The designated beneficiaries include the relevant Ministries and authorities of the Eastern Partnership countries.

EPIC’s primary objective is to assist the EIB in preparing studies for projects eligible for financing through EIB loans in Eastern Partnership countries. Specifically, EPIC targets investments related to the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the Indicative TEN-T Investment Action Plan, crucial for enhancing regional connectivity and economic development.

Systema Consulting’s involvement in EPIC begins with the pre-feasibility study of the ring road in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. This assignment underscores our commitment to leveraging expertise in transport infrastructure to drive sustainable development and connectivity within the region.

EPIC represents a transformative initiative in fostering collaboration between the EIB and expert consultants like Systema Consulting. By pooling resources and expertise, EPIC aims to unlock the full potential of transport infrastructure investments, paving the way for a more connected and prosperous Eastern Partnership region.
